The crawler transporters are designed to carry the Omni Eye Zoom Camera and are available in both single and multi-conductor configurations. They operate in line sizes from 6”- 30” with axle and driveline extensions. Crawler weights are adjustable with the addition or removal of brass ballast plates.

A drive chain, combined with a high torque, permanent magnet .25 HP motor with a right angle gearbox and 18:5:1 gear ratio, provides necessary power to pull 1,500’ of single conductor or multi-conductor cable. (Actual distances will vary with line conditions).

The crawlers have three forward speeds, one reverse, a stop function and a freewheel mode for easy retrieval. Travel speeds are up to 55’ per minute at full power. Travel speeds and direction are controlled by desktop or hand held controller.

Specially designed, contoured pads, attached with dual stainless steel rivets on stainless steel chain, provide a large contact surface for maximum traction.

The crawlers are adaptable to all R.S. Technical Services mainline systems.
